Episode 09 -

A critical part of the pursuit of faith is to create space between the things of the flesh that trigger you and your ability to become conscious in that moment and thus make a conscious decision. If you can make a conscious decision to be present, you've got a shot at choosing something that will help you. But it is not easy, in fact the Apostle Paul noted his struggles with this, saying in Romans 7:15 “For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate.”

Episode 08 -

Emotions are feelings we have tied to past events. Our feelings inform our thoughts and thus guides our lives. Feelings in and of themselves are neither good nor evil. They can be enjoyable and wonderful, but they can also make us miserable and drive us to make choices we eventually regret. Feelings are unstable and unpredictable at times, so they need to be managed. This is part of working out the salvation of our soul. And this management begins with a deeper awareness of our emotions.

Episode 07 -

Colossians 3:2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Romans 8:5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

So, although we do not have control over every thought that comes into our mind, we do have control on what we set our minds on. We can choose to think about fleshly things, OR we can choose think about Spiritual things. Fleshly things lead to sin and death. Spiritual things lead to prosperity and life.

Episode 06 - 

To live in God’s perfect Will you must continually renew your mind with the Word of God.  There is no other way to live a victorious life. Romans 8:29 says “For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.” When we are born of the Spirit, we are to conform to the image of God’s Son. You and I ought to act just like Jesus.  The only thing that stands in the way is our soul.

Episode 05 -

Action Step #2 in the pursuit of Faith is thinking the Word of God.

One of the reasons many Christians fail is because they are thinking about things that do not line up with Gods word. Romans 12:2 “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect His will really is.”

Episode 04 -

Action Step #1 in the pursuit of Faith is HEARING the Word of God.

The bible says in Romans 10:17, … faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

John chapter 20:31 says - these things are written that you might believe.

If you're going to have strong faith you need to feast on a steady diet of His words; building a relationship with God and thus building your faith.

Episode 03 - 

Words are catalyst; they have substance, they are a stimulus, they spark, they goad, producing faith or producing fear and doubt.

- Hebrews 1:3 says God upholds “all things by the word of His power”

- Psalm 138:2 says He values His Word above everything, even His name.

- Romans 10:17 says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

God’s Word changes how we think. It relieves fear and produces faith. And God gives people victories on the basis of faith.

Episode 02 - 

Without the scripture, you have no basis for your faith. And when you have no basis for faith, confusion, doubt, fear and sin will be your constant companion. So settle this in your heart today. If you're going to have strong faith, you are going to have to learn to feed on a steady diet of God's Word.

Episode 01 - 

Hebrews 11:6  Without faith, man cannot please God. For the man who draws near to God must believe that there is a God and that he will reveal himself to those who sincerely look for him. To all those who earnestly try to find him. 

If faith is required for a genuine relationship with God, And you Love God, and you have built a Certain Hope based on His Word, then the pursuit of Faith must become your top priority.
