Danielle Mcgeary from AAMI returns to the show to discuss the recently published HTM Grey Areas report. This was a collaboration effort of multiple surveys, data collection, and consulting from Joint Commission. It breaks down what falls under each department within a medical facility and were those responsibilities my coincide with one another. It a valuable conversation to have to lay out expectations and foster cooperation between each sector of a healthcare system. I sat down with Hobie Sears the director of training and regional service manager at Probo Medical. We discuss the advances in ultraound and his journey within that world. I really wanted to pick is brain on the technology along with what might be some difficulties techs may face learning ultrasound. I am joined by a special guest at the Houston MD EXPO, Josh Weatherford. The first to complete the AAMI BMET Apprenticeship Program. I wanted to pick his brain on his experience going through it and had him share what others could expect. Renew Biomedical has taken on the task of helping bridge the gap in helping run the pipeline of new Biomeds into the field. I commend them on making this another option for someone like Josh who didn't have many options due to not having a Biomed program in Tennessee. We all experience burnout one way or another in our field. It is recoverable individually but we also need to have a conversation as to why we are having this issue in the field in the first place. It truly has been a memorable year since starting the Bearded Biomed Podcast on Dec 2, 2021. To everyone that supports the show whether it is listening, watching, guest speaking, buying merch, or just telling a friend about it, Thank You!
