Bearly Sane episodes
- Having a Fields day!First episode of the season, on the road discussing who should start week 1, thoughts on the defense and setting season expectations.39 min
- Bears first round options
Back with a hunch on the Bears first round. I explain why I think the Bears walk away with their QB of the future on Thursday and the things that have to fall into place for it to happen!
37 min - Bringing in 2021.....with Andy Dalton???
First Bears pod of 2021 and I was waiting to bring in the new year with my first pod whenever our first QB news happened....this is not what I was expecting but I roll with it! I talk about the roller coasters of Watson/Wilson and why they were never realistic options, how we could add a 4th first rounder in the Wilson pursuit (no thanks but its possible) and the recent history of trading up to get a quarterback in the first round. I try to think logically, not with my heart.....which the Bears break over and over and over and over.....
46 min - Which Bears future do you want to see?
Talking about the Bears future. Do you want to see the Bears make the playoffs or you want to see them lose out for a better draft pick? MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!!!! I dive into the Bears playoff history (or lack of playoff history) and also break down the history of first round quarterbacks and why the crap shoot scares me off of the idea of "the Bears HAVE to draft a quarterback". Check it out!
41 min - THE RETURN OF MITCH!!!!
Mitch is (unofficially) back!!!! Shouldn't have been benched. I talk about how I tried to tell people about Nick Foles, the issues Mitch has to overcome and why I'm the main reason holding him back. I also talk about our opponent this week, the G.O.A.T that is Aaron Rodgers and compare the last six games of our season to Kim K....try figuring that one out!
42 min - Recapping fight night! I mean recapping Bears vs Saints with a lead into week 9 vs the TitansWhat a crazy week. People clamoring for Mitch. A drive by two piece by Javon Wims. The comeback that wasn't. Now after being hit by injury and Covid issues, we talk to my guy Aaron Montgomery about his Titans in a preview of what almost amounts to a must win for our Bears!51 min
- After ugly loss vs the Rams, I talk about who's the most to blame for our offensive issues and moreNot the type of game I wanted to do a pod on but here we are. We recap last week, I talk about process vs W/L results, I apologize to Matt Nagy and I rank the top 3 places to place blame for the offensive woes. Most important to remember, the sky isn't falling and the season isn't over!!!55 min
- We back! Recapping the last two weeks against Bucs and Panthers before talking about MNF vs RamsHello my 5 and 1-derful Bears fan! We're back at it talking about our division leading Bears. Talking about a great primetime win against Brady, the offense being repackaged and sold as something great (eyeroll), Kyle Fuller against the refs and my love for Matt Nagy the head coach.43 min
- Recapping the Bears first loss and getting ready for a prime time game against Tampa BayPicking up the pieces from our first loss, we talk about the same offensive issues even with the QB switch. We also talk about how the stats dont match the feel on defense and the worst special teams in the league. Andrew Williams joins me to talk about the Tampa Bay Bucs and their 3 and 1 start and how others see the Bears56 min
- Week 3 recap of the Bears Falcons then talking about the Nick Foles future against the ColtsJoined (at the 19:33 mark) this week by Bill Zimmerman, host of the Bears Banter Podcast on Windy City Gridiron to help me talk through the QB switch, asking who the 2nd best player on the Bears offense is, more defensive concerns and ask which former Bears should be future Hall of Famers among other things!53 min
