On this week's episode, both Nick Saban and Tom Brady are coming to town (Atlanta)! One is coming to play the Falcons, while the other is seeking another SEC Championship win against the Georgia Bulldogs.
Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins might be coming to Chicago to suit up against Da Bears, but we're talking about the game regardless!
Elsewhere, there's a college football coaching carousel in the works, and a potential MLB lockout happening soon...
Beer wise, we're drinking a landscape lager from Elsewhere Brewing in Grant Park, which is both delectable and crushable.
Cheers!
This week, we have the return of Nadir! To celebrate his return, we drink a plethora of beers from TrimTab, Martin House & Monday Night Brewing.
We also discuss the recent Bears and Falcons games, the fallout of both, and the potential firing of Matt Nagy.
Happy holidays!
This episode is a BONUS! On it, we speak to Liz Rhoades, M.S., who is the Founder and Principal of Spirit Safe Consulting, LLC.
We discuss the newest RTD (ready to drink) offering from WhistlePig Whiskey, which is the PiggyBack Barrel Aged Rye Smash. The canned cocktail is made with 100% estate rye from the WhistlePig farm and barrel aged, natural ingredients, like WhistlePig Whiskey. It's a killer potluck offering for the holiday season.
The three flavors are Blackberry Lemon Fizz, Session Citrus Mint, and Fresh Ginger Lime. It's currently available for purchase in the following states: Georgia, Missouri, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
Many thanks to Liz, WhistlePig, and 5th Column PR for asking us to feature their product. We enjoyed it, and we think you will too!
Cheers!
Waddup! WE are BACK with a BRAND NEW episode.
This week's show is about the Cowboys manhandling the Falcons in Arlington, the Bears readying to play the Baltimore Ravens in Chicago this coming Sunday, and what's next for both teams.
Plus... a tie?? and Cam Newton is BACK.
#shoutout to TrimTab Brewing for the hookup on this week's brews! We appreciate the hospitality, support, and excellent product.
Cheers!
On this week's episode, we talk about the very questionable officiating in the Monday Night Football game between the Bears vs. Steelers and how it may have actually cost Chicago the game. On the bright side, Justin Fields may have played his best game yet. He and the rest of the Monsters of the Midway now have a week off.
As for the Falcons, one of the best weeks in Atlanta history continues with a huge victory over the arch rival New Orleans Saints. Looking forward, the Falcons travel to Arlington to play the Dallas Cowboys in a playoff-caliber matchup. To add to the drama, Dan Quinn will be facing off against his former players as the Cowboys defensive coordinator. It should be great!
Lastly, we discuss some fantasy football GEMS and dive into what gave Asif the regular season victory over Nabeel in their fantasy football matchup over the weekend.
*Please excuse the confusion around Asif's NFL scheduling comments. He promises not to take as strong of an edible before recording next time.
On this week's episode, the Atlanta Braves are World Series champs!
The second half of the show (~20 minutes in), we welcome back one of our favorite guests, Brad Spielberger from Pro Football Focus. We discuss a lot with him, such as the NFL Trade Deadline, future of Da Bears and their upcoming game against Pittsburgh on Monday Night Football, the state of the Falcons and what challenges they'll face against New Orleans on Sunday, Aaron Rodgers being immunized, and more.
*Apologies in advance for the technical difficulties on Nabeel's side. Fortunately we got through it okay and it feel that it adds character to the episode. :)
**Kinda sorry not sorry for the false finishes on Brad's interview. As a wrestling fan, Asif loves the term ("false finishes") and also wanted to keep it interesting right up until the very end.
Enjoy!
This week's episode starts and ends with Braves World Series talk... it's our time, Atlanta!
Elsewhere, we discuss a red hot Matt Ryan and back-to-back wins for the Dirty Birds. Also, what's up with Calvin Ridley?
For the Bears segment, we discuss the mess that is the Monsters of the Midway. Who's going to coach the team this weekend? Is Justin Fields okay? And what trades can Da Bears make before the NFL trade deadline that benefit both them and a potential suitor?
Cheers!
Let's go Braves!!!
This week's episode is packed!
We discuss Packers vs. Bears and Bears vs. Bucs, as well as Falcons vs. Dolphins this weekend. There's also talk about kombucha, fantasy football, and the Braves too.
Cheers!
This week's episode is a fun one! (Really all of them are, as you know...)
On it, we discuss the infamous Bears vs. Packers matchup: what's at stake, why Da Bears can win, and what needs to happen in order for that to happen.
As for the Falcons side, the Dirty Birds are back from across the pond with a W as part of their carry on! Kyle Pitts pulled out the tea cup for his first NFL touchdown celebration, Matt Ryan is playing like a hungry veteran, and next up is a beatable Dolphins team after this week(end)'s bye.
There's still plenty of Atlanta sports to discuss, though, as the Braves are celebrating Joctober in style—pearls and all. As of this recording, they're one win away from beating the Milwaukee Brewers and advancing to the NLCS again (hence, Wisconsin Hate Week), and this time for Braves fans, it feels more like business than it does good fortune.
Beers are from Humble Forager and Ology Brewing.
Cheers!
On this week's episode, we crack open a fresh lager (x4) from Halfway Crooks in Atlanta, GA, while Nabeel talks about his trip to Chicago over the weekend that included Justin Fields first win as QB1. Next up, the Bears travel to Vegas to see how well that gamble on moving up for Fields is really going to pay off.
Back home, the Falcons blew another lead—despite a great game from Matt Ryan—and now face what Asif calls a must-win situation as they square off against the Jets in London this coming weekend.
Elsewhere, Tom Brady pulled a Tom Brady in Foxborough once again... this time against the Patriots though.
Cheers!
