Pat and Alora discuss about having freedom as a child or young adult and how that freedom helps build your character. Alora also talks about doing some drawing exercises from watching YouTube. We also dig into how we (Alora's parents) have structured payment to Alora for the summer for her extended babysitting days. and last but not lest we have discussed this before but stereotypes and more importantly what our stereotypes are. Pat and Bo talk about the chores that Bo does around the house. He really likes dusting with mom because he likes using the feather duster.
Bo also is helping me grow grass by turning on and off the water faucet outside. He has become a dodging master and can do it without getting wet.

Chores around the house are big for all kids at all ages. It gives them responsibility and a sense of accomplishment.

   Chad Trowbridge is a husband and a father and has (so far) been able to engrain amazing morals into his children. Creating time for others and being an amazing generous person Chad wants nothing more but to build good humans to put into the world.
   Working in the local school system he sees our up and coming children and wants to help them preserve their youth and give them all the tools to be successful .

Pat and Alora talk about how Alora would discuss different situations with other kids that weren't happy. 

1. Doing chores - Alora gives good advice about looking at both sides of not wanting to do somethings and why your parents make you do them.
2. Being on your phones - What is too long and too late and why there are rules in place for kids. Pat goes off a little on those parents that spent 8-10 hours on their phones...STOP IT!!!
3. Letting kids wear what they want - a lot of it come to safety. Too hot or too cold can play a big role but so can what is appropriate.

Pat and Alora have a great talk today about trimming Alora's hair, not different than it is, just a trim.
Getting done with 6th grade and how much her world really isn't going to change to much.
Alora is hoping for some opportunity to do some kind of art camp this summer or possibly some more swimming lessons.
We, as a family, would love to be able to get back to a cabin that we rented last year but with all the crazy we are unsure if we are able to.
Keeping in contact with your friends thru text, phone call, ect. Is great for kids and is also a necessity for them.
Kids cannot grow without interactions outside of the family members they are always around. Let them have the time to grow.

Pat and Bo talk about how much he likes keeping his room clean and making his bed. Bo likes to make his mom and dad proud, and we are most certainly proud of Bo in many ways.

Amy Zais was not an easy child but she grew up teaching others how to be better human beings and better person in general.
Education was not an imitate path for Amy but once she hit a fork in the road she found that education and teaching was something that she was passionate about.
Today I talk to Amy about some of the things that she did, good and bad, and how it influenced her path.
Amy has lived a very full life and its most certainly not over. Amy is has been battling cancer since 2018 and hasn't given up yet.
Her drive and determination is something to admire, as I do, and having this conversation with Amy today allowed me to know Amy better and learn why she is who she is.

Tough kid, multiple attempts at college, teacher, assistant principal, cancer fighter, friend, motivator, determined. Badass!!!
