Now that we're in the double digits its time to start getting serious. This week I found out about an enclave of programmers who, like me, enjoy listening to techno while they are writing code so this one is for them. I cranked everything up to 130 BPM and picked some of the biggest tracks I could find to celebrate the 10th episode of Beat and Order. The highlights of this week's episode are Avici remixed by Monoloc, Dusterr by Eigenes Rezept and the original Clownclass by Tosi. Last we had the BCR Boys remix of Clownclass but the original has a level of violence in it that should never be ignored. Look out for Endo 3 and Wood and Organics dept somewhere near the middle, together they act as a kind of swivel for the chaos.

The theme of this week's episode is the dark Italian swing that is so distinctive and yet so surprising in amongst the harder and

dirtier techno that is coming from Berlin, Stockholm and London. I have been a fan of Mauro Picotto since his hard trance days and

followed his shift from the Komodo sound to his current place in Italian techno and you'll here that great Luigi Madonna remix in this set along

with some great tracks from Alberto Pascual who brings some Spanish flavour to the set with Amok from the

Bailando EP that came out this week.

This week's episode builds up all sorts of darkness with some great new releases this week from Terence Fixmer, Sven Wittekind and Frakyeffe.

The brutal remix of Black Asteroid's Engine 1 at the end of this episode shows that Dave Clarke is still one of the top techno producers and

that CLR is continuing to set the tone of the edgier side of techno.

The first post-launch epsode takes a journey through the dark grime of the BCR Boys' Coded by the Girl in Red and Xhin's Drawer to the playful swing of Mauro Picotto's Puzzle and then into a completely unexpected and uplifting place with Timo Maas and Fedde Le Grand

There are several new tracks in this mix, including the Chris Liebing remix of Snout which brings the kind of power you'd expect from the German DJ and producer. You will also find one of the more under-rated tracks of this year, Icon by Rocco Caine, and the set ends with the uplifting Pitanga, Christian Smith's new release that will no-doubt be very popular this summer.
