Dr. Tyra Fainstad is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado where she practices as a primary care doctor and teaching attending. She has a scholarship interest in learner-centered feedback and psychologically safe educational environments. She is a certified professional coach and co-directs a coaching curriculum for medical trainees called Better Together Physician Coaching. She also offers life coaching for faculty in academia, specializing in imposter syndrome, confidence, time management and relationships. She is a recovering approval addict, on a never-ending path to self-awareness and as a medical educator, her purpose is to create space for change through helping learners access inner validation rather than relying on external praise. She believes that teaching physicians to process emotions with vulnerability and unconditional love will be what saves our profession from burnout.
Dr. Adrienne Mann is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado, and anAssociate Program Director of the CU Internal Medicine Residency Program. She works clinically as a hospitalist at the Rocky Mountain VA Regional Medical Center. Her interests are in trainee wellbeing and medical education. Adrienne is a Master Certified Coach and Co-Director of Better Together Physician Coaching, offering coaching to thousands of trainees and faculty across the country in an evidence based program that improves burnout, impostor phenomenon and self compassion.
