Our guest for this episode is long-time Big Country fan Sammy Russo from St. Louis Missouri.

Sammy tells us about his discovery of the band in the late 1980s, seeing them live in the 90s, and many, many more stories.

Scott Pattison is a lifelong musician and member of December, a Scottish band who garnered a lot of attention when they began doing tributes to U2 in addition to their original material.   

In 2018 the band appeared on the radar of many a Big Country fan, when they released their hauntingly beautiful rendition of In A Big Country.   

I was very pleased to have this conversation with Scott, talking fandom, the origins of their version of IABC, and of course, U2.

In this interview recorded in February 2009 and not heard since it's original broadcast, Big Country bass player Tony Butler speaks with Australian radio station Edge Radio about his time in Big Country, the death of lead man Stuart Adamson, reforming for the 25th Anniversary tour as a 3-piece, and recording new material under the name Butler, Brzezicki, Watson.   

This is almost 2 years before Big Country reformed with Mike Peters and Jamie Watson joining the band, so it's very interesting to hear where Tony's head was at at this time.
