My Beautiful YOU guest this week is Clare Elizabeth. Three years ago, while watching the TV show WAGS, Clare was inspired to create clothes for women who were wives and mothers.
As a mother herself she knows how easy it is to get swallowed up in the demands of life and not take care to look after yourself and dress like you are caring for you! Driven also by the desire to be a stay-at-home Mum to her two daughters she explored the idea of starting a business to support women by creating stylish fashion pieces.
Three years later she is designing some of her own products and has a thriving business that supports her and her daughters, enabling her to achieve her goal of working from home.
“I wanted to be a mother that could work from home and control my income. Whatever work and effort I put in I know I’ll get back.”
Through persistence and keeping focussed on her goal, her two daughters, her persistence has certainly paid off!! She has collaborated with Kylie Jenner’s mother propelling her business into the global arena.
Her story is inspiring. A fleeting thought has become such a successful business idea. By putting in the time and effort and continuing to create great ideas Clare says, “There’s nothing stopping you.”

As a passionate Thermomix user and former consultant Emma saw that families purchasing a Thermomix to save time, money and eat freshly made food was proving a challenge and some were not using their Thermomix as beneficially for their health as they could.
Emma decided to provide the food and the recipes for Thermomix families so they could still benefit from the time saving and health features of owning a Thermomix. And so they could eat healthy and use the freshest, healthiest produce available to them.
Starting her business Emma says is the hardest thing she has ever done!! There’s been a lot of tears along the way.
Finding cards in the mail, and messages from her customers on how simple and life changing it has been for their family is what has motivated her to push through and be providing this amazing service to the people of Perth, Western Australia, today!!

My Beautiful YOU guest this week is Dr Kim West. Kim experienced a dysfunctional upbringing, living through abuse into her late teens, including sexual abuse. The trauma and scars this left motivated her to discover how life could be lived without abuse and trauma.
She was especially keen to learn how to live her life so her children didn’t have to endure the abuse and trauma she had. Along her journey to learn she became a counsellor and her studies led her to receiving a Doctorate in Counselling.
She specialises today in helping people through counselling intensives. The intensive is a process in which she has a 100% success rate seeing her clients get Healed, Whole and Free. The results she sees are remarkable and people report transformation that other counselling has not provided for them.
Dr Kim West has a deep wisdom and knowledge in dealing with trauma and abuse. She loves seeing the transformation and release that results from her counselling intensives. She has launched a program that can be accessed and completed online called Weekend Healing.

My Beautiful YOU guest this week is Bec Woods. At 16 years of age Bec unexpectedly became a mother. Today she is the CEO of the Collie chamber of Commerce, a beautiful South West town in Western Australia.
How does a woman transform their life from such a challenging start? Bec has overcome the stigma, the educational setback of not finishing school, in fact many challenges along the way to re-invent herself as a person.
Today she is part of a collaborative group in Collie re-inventing the town!! Collie has been known as a mining and power town since the early 1900’s. Now the energy sector is being disrupted by renewable energy leaving concerns on the future of Collie’s economic growth and job security.
Bec shares the lessons she learnt along the way of reinventing her life and how she is bringing what she learn’t and the skills she has developed to be a significant contributor to support reinventing the town of Collie.
Her story is inspiring as she has taken hold of opportunities and allowed herself to be stretched beyond what she thought was possible, pushed herself out of her comfort zone after such an early and difficult start to her working life. She is humble and not fussed about attention which adds to the power of what she has done to step into what she is doing today.

My Beautiful YOU guest this week is Rhea Powell. Three years ago, at 27 years of age, Rhea was faced with a decision that would change her life forever. Her sister could no longer look after her youngest son, seven years of age at the time. Government agencies approached the family to say Ashton would be put into foster care if there was no one in the family willing to care for him.
The decision was made by Rhea to adopt Ashton and she became his legal guardian. Such a remarkable and selfless decision to make at 27 years of age!!
Ashton’s life had been far from normal. The dysfunction he had been living under had taken its toll on him in many ways, especially emotionally. Coming out of that environment into a stable, supportive place took some time for him to adjust to. Rhea had moved into her new home she had just built and both Rhea and the home took some battering!!
Situations such as Ashton’s are becoming more prevalent with grand-parents, aunties, uncles and siblings having to care for children and family members that are unable to manage and cope with the care themselves.
Join me as Rhea tells her story of a nightmare turning into a blessing and of the implications this decision has had for her and Ashton over the past three years.

My Beautiful YOU guest this week is Delilah Rose. Delilah grew up in the West Australian wheatbelt on a farm near Cunderdin along the Great Eastern Highway. Her farm and family ‘s love of music influenced her as a child and becoming a musician, singer/song writer evolved from these influences.
Earlier in 2019, Delilah won the Best Group award at the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival and was nominated for a WAM award. A great honour and achievement for this little ole farm gal! She was well rewarded for the years of uncertainty about what she should do with herself and her gift of music.
Finding her way through the confusion she felt about her purpose and future she is now pursuing her music and has produced two Eps and a music video; one with her country band “Delilah Rose and the Gunslingers” and the other with her alt-folk trio called “The Holy Smoke”. She is dreaming of her next project for 2020 and beyond!
Becoming a mother of a cute little boy didn’t stop her pursuing the call she felt within to her music. She is expecting her second child later this year.
Delilah Rose has found music to be a way to process some of the pain and grief in life and after losing her father suddenly, wrote a very touching rendition of her journey back to her family farm knowing her father wouldn’t be there. You can listen to it in the podcast today.
The book Delilah refers to in the podcast that helped her process her purpose through journaling is called “The Artists Way” by Julia Cameron.
