July is Fibroid Awareness Month, and in this deeply personal episode of the Beauty by TRL Podcast, I’m sharing my own journey with uterine fibroids.
From learning that I had two large fibroids to making the decision to undergo Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE), this journey has affected more than just my physical health. It has challenged me emotionally, strengthened my faith, changed the way I look at my body, and taught me the importance of advocating for myself.
In this episode, I open up about the realities of navigating fibroids, making difficult decisions about my health, going through treatment and recovery, and continuing to embrace the woman I see in the mirror through every stage of the process.
Most importantly, this conversation is about giving women permission to speak up, ask questions, seek additional medical opinions when needed, and become active participants in their healthcare decisions.
If you are living with fibroids, navigating treatment options, recovering, or supporting someone you love through their journey, I hope my story reminds you that you don’t have to suffer silently.
