When we foster trust, our children will seek our council during times when they need it most.

As parents, we will best equip our children when we council our children through the word of God.

Be intentional.

If we want any chance at leading well in our childrens teen years, we have to be willing to foster a relationship of trust now.

Lead by example. Begin or deepen your journey of trusting Christ to lead your life, your parenting, your marriage, and model for your children what a health surrender to the Lord looks like. Along the way of fostering your own trusting relationship, your children will learn how to trust your leading as well as the good fathers leading in their lives.

Live through the lens of Gods word.

Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it.

Living with intention each day makes a world of difference between an average marriage and an amazing marriage.

I know this because I've seen it play out in my own marriage both ways. As we live through the lens of God's word, let 1 Corinthians be our guide to building a rich, amazing, and God honoring marriage. Its not easy, but we do HARD things!

Ephesians 6:18 Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

As the year ends, give the gift of intercessory prayer to the ones that you love. Be encouraged as I share how my mother granted me this gift often as a child and as an adult. Hear how the power of prayer led to a strong and stable marriage for me and my husband many years later.

From Scripture we learn that the Holy Spirit is God. There is only one God and He is the third divine person of the Trinity. He grieves,

He is God living inside of those who have accepted Christ as their Savior.

However, if we want to be people who are led by the Spirit of God, we have to desire to hear his voice. And if we want to hear his voice, it is imperative that we open his word and allow him to speak to us.

I encourage you friends, open the Word of God, and allow his spirit to lead and direct your life.

Jesus changes everything.
