02.15.2023 - By Rob Snowhite
Rob recently woke up before sunrise with hopes of catching trout. He drove to the Hagerstown Valley which sits atop miles of underground limestone caverns a little over an hour from Washington DC. The unique physical geography of the area supports Maryland’s largest spring creek. Rob has heard and read stories about the big brown trout lurking in these waters. Listen as he walks the stream and makes observations as he fishes, discusses local history and geography and what he should have done to efficiently fish frog water. He stops in a fly shop and talks to anglers along the stream. The second part of the day trip will be in the next episode.
