12.13.2022 - By Rob Snowhite
These are Rob's stories from his recent trip to the Salmon River of New York. The plan was to fish alone for a few days during a weekend of unseasonably warm weather. Part 1 covers the first day of fishing. Rob met up with friends from Project Healing Waters, Tidal Potomac Fly Rodders, and his steelhead cousin Dirty Bill. He had encounters with salmon, steelhead, porcupines, and a few bald eagles. Rob talks about packing for this trip on his Youtube channel. He talks about skill required to catch a steelhead and the misconceptions anglers have about what's going on once they present their fly. Part 2 covers the second day of fishing with friends old and new and a float down the river.
