  • 23. Crazy, Stupid Love - The Dating Episode

    In this Valentine's Day themed episode, Merritt dives deep into dating and relationships! She discusses the five love languages and romantic attachment styles, breaks down what she considers to be red flags on dates, shares what she's looking for in a partner, lists some suggestions of where to meet guys in the wild, offers her opinion on dating younger vs older, and so much more. She shares a bunch of personal dating anecdotes and stories from her past, but also shares listener tales near the end of the episode. Finally, she answers several listener questions at the end on subjects like spicing up Valentine's Day at home, how to be more supportive of single friends, dealing with lying/infidelity in a relationship, and moving to a new city for your significant other.

  • 22. A Doggone Good Time with Brad Bevill of Bevill Dog Behavior

    In this week's episode, Merritt sits down with the founder and owner of Dallas-based Bevill Dog Behavior, Brad Bevill. We chat about how he got into the business of dog behavior (aka dog psychology) and turned his gift into a thriving enterprise! We discuss all the dos and don'ts of dog ownership including whether to crate train or not, some tips about collars and leashes to use, how to reduce unwanted behaviors in your dog, and more. In addition to general advice, Brad answers a bunch of specific listener-submitted questions! All in all, it's a wonderfully informative episode for potential and current dog owners alike. 

    Merritt also shares some personal updates, like what she got up to over the weekend, the pest she's dealing with in her backyard at the moment (spoiler alert, it's not the feral cats!), when her Spring Capsule Wardrobe is coming out on the blog, and what TV shows she's been watching lately (Archive81, Afterlife and The Gilded Age).
