In business, have you noticed something?
Some people grow more exhausted the further they go.
Others seem to gain more energy as they build.
What makes the difference?
I’ve come to believe it’s this:
Cooperation is a positive-sum game.
Confrontation and internal friction are zero-sum games.
Recently, we were delivering a large automated production line project in Europe.
Suddenly, our production capacity dropped.
The client was urgent.
The team was stressed.
The pressure escalated quickly.
In that moment, I had two choices:
Pass the pressure down.
Absorb the pressure and focus on solutions.
I chose the second.
What happened next confirmed something I’ve tested many times in both business and life:
When you stop transmitting pressure and start creating psychological safety,
people don’t withdraw —
they step up.
The team voluntarily worked overtime.
Capacity recovered.
The client was satisfied.
And I was reminded again:
A real leader doesn’t create more pressure.
A real leader digests pressure.
In this episode, I will share:
What positive-sum thinking really means
How emotions circulate inside organizations
Why leadership is about emotional filtration
How to reduce relationship friction in work and life
If you are an entrepreneur, a manager,
or simply someone who wants to preserve your energy, this episode may resonate with you.
If you’ve experienced a “zero-sum” moment in your life or business,
