The passing of the great Diane Keaton made me look with fresh eyes at the meaning of being True to Self. Like Keaton, your whole life and career may seem aligned with who you are, but you can still feel insecure. Or, like my mom, only a smaller part of your life may seem true to self but its importance to your wellbeing is huge. Both women were artists and each one's choice counts because creating a life that honours the truth of who you are is not easy in this world.
