With Christ’s ascension, the second greatest gift (besides the Cross itself) is given to humanity: the Holy Spirit? Who is He? What role does he play in our lives? How is the Holy Spirit related to the birth of the Church? What is the Church? This class unpacks all these questions and more.

Why did Christ die? What does mean that Christ descended into “hell”? Is the resurrection believable? Why an ascension? All these questions will be probed and answered at this class!

We can’t begin the semester without diving into the subject of Christ’s birth and life as we prepare for Christmas. We will learn about the meaning of the incarnation along with many ways by which Jesus reveals himself and our very selves to use by His life recorded in Scripture.

This class will create a powerful theme to all of Scripture, a particular lens that will change the way you look at God, yourself, and Scripture as a whole! Probably one of the most important classes throughout the whole process!

Why did God create? How did God create? What did God create? How did sin enter into the world? What was the sin and what does that mean for us? These and so many more questions will be answered as we walk through the early chapters of Genesis!

What many have declared the most difficult class throughout the whole process, this class intends to shed true light onto the Mystery of God in his Nature and Personhood. At the end of this class, the Trinity will no longer have some abstract meaning, but rather have a direct impact on how you live your day-to-day life.

From our capacity there are two foundation actions: 1) God’s initiative which provokes our capacity; 2) Our response to God’s provocation. This class unfolds what God’s initiative really is and how we respond to Him.

At this point, we begin our catechetical journey toward understanding what the Church believes in a progressive way. Each class will build on the previous one.

We begin by asking the most fundamental question. Do we have a capacity for God? God may exist but if we do not have the capacity to know him, then this class is futile. If we do have the capacity, what is that capacity and how do we use it to experience God.

What does the Myers-Briggs personality test have in common with the rich prayer life of the Catholic Church? What do St. Thomas, St. Augustine, St. Ignatius, and St. Francis have in common?

Why do Catholics make the sign of the cross? What’s with the incense and the bells? What about all the garments the priest wears? These questions and so much more will be answered in this class.
