Jesus Himself says: He who has ears to hear, let him hear. We don't want to just hear with our ears but hear with our hearts and be ready to obey. Jo and Tracey unpack the path of recognizing God's voice and responding in faith.

As we begin this new school year, Jo and Sydney start the conversation on calendars and stewarding our time. But, what is at the foundation? Our covenant, love relationship with the Lord. Before we talk about calendars, family, or marriage, are we building our home that reflects (abides) and produces the values (fruit) coming from that love relationship?

As Christian parents, we no longer have the pleasure to just sit and let time pass us by. We have to get active, intentional about the teaching and living by example. Mattie Claire Jones gives her testimony of how her parents were very intentional to point her (and her brother) to Christ, to show her as they lived that example.

"I keep hearing everywhere I go that things are getting dark. Why is that? Partly because we, as Christians, are turning out the light. We're failing to turn on the light when we go from place to place. It's up to us to be the light, for others to see the Light through us and recognize that they need the Light." (Jo) Remember, there are things we can do intentionally to light our dark world.

Have you lost your joy? You've tried everything, but you can't seem to do it. What do we do? How can we, along with King David in Psalm 51, ask God to restore the joy of our salvation? Jo gives us five ways to restore our joy and also five things not to do that our flesh may lead us to, away from God.

This week, we are preparing to celebrate our Independence Day! 250 years! I want us to think about what might be on God's mind -- how He birthed this nation long ago, how we can remember the purpose of this nation, and how we can bless Him with our lives today.

"Recently, I've been astounded to see this mass thing happening throughout our nation," Jo states with passion and compassion. We need to open our eyes and see what is really happening. Pray through the principles in this week's podcast. Then, ask God to give you grace on how to implement them. It's got to be a priority, if it's not going to happen in our home, our city, or our downtown squares.
