  • Overflow: The Secret Weapon Against Burnout (Part 2)

In Part 1, we uncovered the warning signs of burnout and why overflow—not overwork—is the key to sustainable leadership. In this episode, we take it further: how do you actually build rhythms that keep your tank full?

We’ll break down the habits, boundaries, and disciplines that allow leaders to give their best without running dry. You’ll learn how to balance service with self-care, how to reset when you’ve stretched too thin, and how to lead in a way that multiplies energy instead of draining it.

If Part 1 was about awareness, Part 2 is about application—practical steps to help you move from exhaustion to overflow so you can lead with clarity, strength, and longevity.

  • Overflow: The Secret Weapon Against Burnout (Part 1)

Burnout is real—and it’s one of the fastest ways to lose your joy and your influence as a leader. In this episode of Becoming Steadfast, we dive into why overflow—not overwork—is the secret weapon for sustainable leadership. I’ll unpack how to recognize the warning signs of burnout, what it looks like to lead from a heart that’s full, and the daily practices that refill your tank so you can give your best to others. This is Part 1 of a two-part series designed to help athletes and leaders shift from running on empty to leading from strength.

  • Don’t Take It for Granted

We take way too much for granted.
     The practices we complain about.
The teammates we assume will always be there.
The leadership roles we think will last forever.

But it can all change in an instant. Two of my closest teammates just had their careers end overnight because of injuries—and it reminded me: nothing is promised.

This week on Becoming Steadfast, I share why athletes, leaders, and people can’t afford to coast through life… and how to live with gratitude and urgency for the opportunities we have today.

  • One Drop at a Time: How Leaders Earn Trust

Trust doesn’t come in grand gestures—it comes in small, consistent choices. In this episode of Becoming Steadfast, we break down the famous line: “Trust is earned in droplets and lost in buckets.” You’ll learn why trust takes time to build, why it’s so easy to lose, and how leaders can earn it back when it’s broken. Whether you’re a captain, coach, or teammate, this conversation will give you practical tools to protect the most valuable currency a leader has—trust.

  • Identity Over Outcomes🎙

Most athletes and leaders chase results — wins, stats, recognition. But that’s the weakest layer of growth. In this episode, we’ll break down the 3 layers of transformation:

    1. Outcome (outer layer): The goals you chase — winning games, earning awards, hitting numbers. Important, but fragile if it’s all you focus on.
    2. Process (middle layer): The systems and habits — your training, recovery, nutrition, journaling, routines. More stable, but still incomplete if you stop here.
    3. Identity (core layer): Who you believe you are becoming. The kind of athlete, leader, or person who consistently shows up prepared and honors their standard.

When you root your life in identity, the process becomes natural and the outcomes take care of themselves. This is how leaders and athletes build long-term greatness.

You’ll learn practical ways to own your errors, extract the lesson, and lead with renewed clarity and confidence. Whether it’s a bad decision, a missed opportunity, or a costly misstep, this conversation will show you how to respond in a way that earns respect, strengthens trust, and sets the tone for your team’s future success.

  • Find Your Four – The Power of a Wolf Pack

Great leaders aren’t built alone — they’re carried. In this episode, I break down my own support system and walk you through the 4 Mat Carrier System — the four people every leader needs in their corner to stay grounded, push forward, and rise after setbacks.

We’ll also look at how wolf packs operate — why they move together, protect the vulnerable, and create strength through unity — and how that same mentality can transform your leadership.

If you’re ready to stop leading alone and start building a crew that makes you unstoppable, this one’s for you.

Most athletes think leadership means having all the answers. But the truth? The leaders who win long-term are the ones who lead with honesty, humility, and connection.
In this episode, we break down what vulnerability actually looks like in high-performance environments — and why it’s the key to earning trust, not losing respect.

  • Becoming Steadfast: Embracing Leadership Through Adversity 💪

On episode 1 of Becoming Steadfast, I share the journey behind the creation of my company, Steadfast, and what it truly means to be steadfast in the face of adversity. I recount my experiences as a college hockey player, particularly the impact of losing my coach, Paul Jerrard, to cancer, and how that shaped my understanding of leadership and personal growth. I emphasize the importance of seeking help during tough times and the lessons learned from my struggles with anxiety and depression. My goal is to help leaders and athletes maximize their potential, and I invite viewers to engage with the content and share topics they’d like me to explore further. Together, we can strive for growth and live life to the fullest.
