I've been sitting quietly with myself every single day for 30-60 minutes. So often we want to resist the mess of our lives, or if we don't resist it, we lean into our victimhood.

I want to lean into my mess. I want to hold space for my messiness. And yours. Grief. Anger. Sadness. Guilt. At the core it's all good, it's all for me... but there's a part of me that wants to be seen and heard - my inner little girl - and I owe it to her to lean in.

What if you could look what challenges you most - like death - right in the face and find POWER in that? Death is the only universal truth that we have. There is no guarantee that it will survive past the present moment.

I don't mean this to be harsh, but rather to be direct. Your body is constantly in a state of rebirth - every 7 years, every single cell in our body renews. But it means that every moment is a new opportunity for birth. For new.

Nothing is guaranteed past this present moment. So can we engage with that?

I remember when I was in chiropractic school, I heard about this concept - the inside out vs outside in - when it came to the human body. Having a medical background, I remember thinking "if there's pain here, I'll look at that place." Change the outside environment.

But they challenged this idea - and asked us to think about healing from the inside out. Our bodies are champions at healing: when you cut your finger, your body clots the blood for you.

But what if we LIVE inside out. Instead of taking everyone's perspective on what you wear or say or do... how many likes you get on Instagram... when you have children or get married... what if you just lived inside out, only taking your OWN word for what it's worth?
