The Salvation Army’s 36th Annual Bed & Bread Club Radiothon
Raised over 1.8 Million dollars to help the hungry and homeless across metro
Detroit. The 27-hour radio fundraiser, presented by Ford Motor Company, was held on February 23rd and 24th, on 760 WJR with its on-air personalities and Bed & Bread Club founder, Dick Purtan.
Throughout the day, appearances from special guests encouraged the community to donate and help those who are hungry and homeless in metro Detroit.
Generous contributions came through from local car dealerships, banks, and foundations.
The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit’s Bed & Bread Program serves nearly 3,500 meals each day to men, women and children who would otherwise go
without.
