Part of our foundation of Faith is Community.

Community is God's design.  We are not created to be isolated from people.  We cannot do life on our own.  We need others.

John 13:34-35 "A new command I give you:  Love one another.   As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

Community is Biblical because it:

Helps us grow

Gives us accountability

Gives us encouragement

 Helps us service others

Studying the Word is the key piece of our foundation.

1.  God commands us to to prayer

2.  Prayer is our connection to God

3.  Prayer sets things into motion - it equips us with boldness

4.  We need to be persistent in our prayer

5.  We must listen to God.

Prayer doesn't change God, prayer changes us.   CS Lewis

Foundations of our Faith is to study the Word of God.  

1.  It provides us with direction

2.  Protects & helps us to battle sin

3. Gives us purpose of identity

4. It transforms us.

God communicates to us through His work.

Pastor Ben Price challenges us as believers to live out I Corinthians 10:31.   "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the Glory of God."   We are to be Christlike, we honor God in obedience, prayer, thankfulness and humility.  What do I need to surrender in order to more into the new year to be have more compassion, kindness, patience, love and grace.   How can I extend myself more grace and offer others more grace?

Preparing for Change.   Matthew 2:1-12

Who am I aligned with?   Who will I chose to follow?

We have to be intentional to follow Jesus

Advent means the "coming of Christ"

Do we live as though we have God with us?

Are we willing to share the greatest gift known to man?

Are we willing to share Jesus like Mary was?  I am the Lord's servant.
