But before you can hear those, I break down the game and discuss the main way I think Oklahoma State could actually win this game despite the injuries to their star WR and QB. I also discuss the latest College Football Playoff rankings and how Oklahoma and Baylor have a pretty clear shot to make it if things go their way.

In sum, he's a smart football guy with a lot of knowledge about the Big 12, so it was the perfect time to bring him on to talk about the biggest game in the Big 12 this season. Baylor vs Oklahoma is a game with so much on the line for both teams and the entire conference. Ari and I break down the game and the College Football Playoff rankings as well as discuss his alma mater of Kansas and the possibility of Matt Rhule or Lincoln Riley would ever coach the Dallas Cowboys.

The first College Football Playoff rankings were released this week, and it was pretty bleak for the Big 12. Undefeated Baylor couldn't crack the Top 10 and Oklahoma was down at No. 9. Is there a way for the Big 12 to make the playoff? Who has to lose for that to happen? And who should the Big 12 be cheering for in the LSU vs Alabama game this weekend? Everything went wrong for the Big 12's favored teams this weekend. Oklahoma lost to Kansas State, Texas lost to TCU, Iowa State lost to Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech lost to Kansas. I recap each of these crazy games, from Oklahoma's comeback that fell just short to Texas Tech's insane loss to Kansas. What does this mean for Oklahoma's playoff chances? And how excited is Baylor that they didn't have to play last week?

Mike Gundy once again comes through with a very strange and memorable soundbite, but the underlying truth behind it is that his team is struggling. Other things that struggled this weekend include the Texas Longhorns who barely beat Kansas at home, and the Sooner Schooner which took a tumble. I break down all of these things and preview what could possibly be a trap game for the undefeated Sooners this weekend.

The Red River Shootout lived up to the hype last week, with Oklahoma coming away with an impressive victory. But are the two best teams in the conference headed for trap games this weekend? I preview each of the weekend's games and discuss the probability that Baylor could be 9-0 before playing Oklahoma in late November. Are they as good as it seems?

This is a game that needs no introduction: the Red River Showdown. It's my favorite sporting event every year. There's nothing quite like it. This year both teams are in the Top 10, which makes it even more intriguing. Both teams feature star Heisman candidate QBs. Texas has a brash, bold, arrogant QB in Sam Ehlinger. He's built for this rivalry. OU has a QB who hates talking and doesn't seem excited by anything. It's a little different from when they had Baker Mayfield. Kansas and Kansas State won non-conference games against Power 5 opponents for the first time since Gerald Ford was president, so it's pretty obvious what I'm talking about on this week's Big 12 Bullets podcast. I talk about some of the incredible numbers and streaks that Kansas broke with their road win over Boston College. Overall it was a good weekend for the Big 12, Iowa State losing to Iowa on a muffed punt notwithstanding.
