We crack open some cold ones and dive into the world of mystical unicorns, dark fairytales, and bizarre fantasy storytelling. First up, we take on A24’s wild new entry, Death of a Unicorn—a movie that dares to mix corporate greed, magical creatures, and absurdist humor. Then, we rewind to Ridley Scott’s 1985 classic, Legend, where Tom Cruise battles Tim Curry’s devilish Darkness in a visually stunning, synth-laden adventure.

This episode also marks the beginning of our quest to tick off some of the Great American Craft Beers oversights that deserve a spot on the Mt. Rushmore of Craft Beer. Which legendary brew makes the cut? And does it pair well with unicorn-related chaos?

Not one! Not TWO! But THREE DE NIROS! He goes double duty on our first Barry Levinson film, The Alto Knights, and then straight into his larger-than-life depiction of Capone in De Palma's The Untouchables (1987). We go gangsta gangsta this week with guest Anthony Zoccolillo and two great beers from Tivoli Brewing (we think) and Turning Point Beer. 

Lies, Lies, and Lies! It's a Soderbergh Double Feature with his most recent and very first: Black Bag paired with the 90s-independent-film-launching Sex, Lies and Videotape. So many thematic similarities to chew on! Adam Beam is back to clear up some lies told about him during the BaaMies while we enjoy two black (bag) beers from 903 Brewing and Real Ale Brewing. 

Is there a film more anticipated than Bong Joon-ho's follow-up to Parasite? We dive into Mickey 17 (starring 18 Robert Pattinsons) pairing it with Harold Ramos's Multiplicity (1996, starring 4 Michael Keatons). There's a little disagreement over Director Bong's follow-up and 3 great beers (2 of them alcohol-free).
