We're back with another episode, and this week Gary breaks out the Old Forester Statesman to celebrate his retirement while David comes through on his promise to drink pumpkin beers with Urban Artifact Jack.
Old Forester Statesman is a 95 proof bourbon crafted from hand-selected casks of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky, featuring bold flavors of pepper, cinnamon, citrus, and spice. Originally released as a tie-in with the movie “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” it has since become a permanent offering.
Urban Artifact Jack is an American Fruit Tart with a 7.7% ABV, packed with real pumpkin and pie spices. This medium amber beer offers a delightful blend of seasonal flavors, making it a standout choice for fall.
We also discuss Gary's retirement, David getting back-to-back VIP experiences, and Ohio Craft Beer proposing a state license plate.

It's the end of July, so that means it's Oktoberfest season. But David isn't ready to drink one just yet, so he drinks Urban Roots Nothing is Certain, which he got from our new sponsor Beer Drop. Gary breaks out the Old Forester 86.
Urban Roots Nothing is Certain is a black lager with an ominous can. It pours dark as night, and has a nice roasty backbone with a smooth finish.
We also chat about one of our favorite stories of the year: Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout variants are announced. We are a little underwhelmed with the offerings this year - maybe it's a down year after they went all out for the 30th anniversary last year?
We also chat about craft beer declining in the first half of 2024 and why that may be, and Larceny gets a rebrand.

This week Gary talks about his trip to Asheville, NC where he dodged every single brewery but found his way to a nuclear sunburn. No bourbon to try but huge news as he was selected for the Sazerac SBS, so the boys are getting a barrel of EH Taylor Jr Single Barrel in the future. Stay tuned for news on that.
David enjoyed a 32 ounce selection of Broadview Brewing Covered In Chrome. He had just visited that spot as well and had nothing but good things to say.
Bud Light slips down the list of beer brands.
One local brewery plays Michael Phelps and brings home several golds at the US Open Beer Championships.

It's the 4th of July and what pairs better with fireworks than drinking. Good combo we know.
This week we bring a third into the fold as Texas native Danny Ramon joins us to drink and talk about his days as a beer sherpa in Austin. Fun stories of the beer bus and some solid recommendations for a good time in the area.
A new distillery launches in Morehead, KY as they broke ground this week on Eastern Light Distilling, a $143 million dollar project in Eastern KY.
New Riff celebrates their 10 year anniversary with a limited beer and some cool new bottles.
A fun time was had by all.

After an extended break, we're back. This week Gary breaks out the Traveller Whiskey, while David drinks Narrow Path Old Fashioned.
Traveller Whiskey is a collaboration between Grammy award winner Chris Stapleton and Buffalo Trace. The blended whiskey has complex aromas of vanilla, aged fruit and buttery shortbread rounded off by caramel and a touch of oak. The palate has just a touch of sweetness, followed by spice, toasted nut and oak flavors, with a robust finish.
Narrow Path Old Fashioned is a beer inspired by the popular cocktail. It's an amber lager with blood orange peels, Luxardo cherries & bourbon soaked oak chips.

We're back this week with a new episode, and David drinks a beer that is a collaboration between two of his favorite breweries, as Brink and Fretboard came together to produce Electric Llama.
Brink and Fretboard Electric Llama is a Bavarian Style IPA. This Bavarian IPA is moderate strength India Pale Ale made uniquely Bavarian by the use of new varietal German hops. Late additions of Tettnang and Calista hops give this ale notes of intense fruit and berries.
Gary also tells us a great story about how he got a private tour of the location of JFK's assassination when he was in Dallas.

We're back after a short hiatus and David celebrates by drinking Belleflower Finch and Thistle.
David fell in love with Belleflower Brewing when he visited Portland, Maine, and was excited to see that they now distribute to Ohio. Belleflower Finch and Thistle is a dry hopped New England IPA, pouring pale golden hazy with aromas of big papaya, kiwi, pineapple, and stone fruit that will make you long for summer. The strong pale ale opens with flavors of grapefruit and other tropical citrus and stone fruit for a crispy taste that finishes with some light malt sweetness.
We chat about Gary's recent trips and Abby even makes a cameo. We also discuss the following news stories:
