First of all, it is to be said that many human beings are not aware of the differences between
bees, hornets, bumblebees and wasps. Therefore, the following will briefly explain the
differences, whereby please note that the description should not be understood as a scientific
treatise with a claim to completeness, but rather as a colloquial description in relation to the
insects mentioned.
In the presence of bees, hornets, bumblebees and wasps, calmness should be maintained in
any case, as well as hectic movements should be avoided. This also applies in particular to
bumblebees, which, although also equipped with a stinger, are the most peaceful of the sting-
armed insects. Wasps are often found at dining tables, but not bees or bumblebees. Especially
sweet foods like cake or jam, but also meat dishes and drinks, attract wasps. Bees and
bumblebees are not attracted at all, although honey
