What do creative people really do before their work begins?
Jo Hutton, author of best-selling Substack Yoga for Tired People, sits down with the movers and shakers of the creative industry to find out what their mornings actually look like.
This week Jo is joined by bibliotherapist Toni Jones, founder of the Shelf Help Club, the world's first self-help book club. Toni talks to Jo Hutton about leaving a busy career in journalism for a quieter life in Norfolk, and how her morning routine now follows Hal Elrod's "Miracle Morning" method, with plenty of reading, fresh air and very little rushing. They dig into nervous system regulation, the difference between a trigger and a glimmer, and the self-help books that changed Toni's life, from The Kindness Method to Ikigai. Turns out the good life isn't always glamorous, sometimes it's just a dog on the bed and a slow cup of coffee.
