The early members included moved into a 5 bedroom pad with Alissa Violet, and the Dobre Twins being the first in the crew. Soon after joined by Neels Visser, Alex Lange and AJ Mitchell which made them actually a Team of 7. None of the founding members would stick around for long. Neels left to pursue modelling, Alissa was kicked out, the Dobre bros got homesick, AJ and Alex Lange also departed. So what are these kids up to today? XXXTentacion was one of if not THE most talked about artists of 2017 and was celebrated for his music, his artistry and his candour with his fans. Achieving amazing feats with his two studio releases X was set to change the music game forever but all the while he was haunted by his criminal past. He was no stranger to getting locked up and grew up in and out of correctional facilities throughout much of his youth. Still, after his most recent release from jail, X seemed to be turning over a new leaf. He made plans to go back to school to get his GED and got to work on charitable actions. He had pledged to donate over 100 thousand dollars to domestic-prevention programs. He donated clothes, shoes and PS4s to underprivileged children in an effort to start what he called the Helping Hand Challenge, encouraging his fans to do good things and spread positivity. In fact, his last Instagram post was about doing a charity event.

Growing up the son of a athlete things can go either way. Your father can push you too hard and you can go in the opposite direction which is pretty much what happened to me or you can take all the free direction and surpass his wildest expectations. With strong industry contacts and some money in his pocket things were looking up, then in 2016, Quentin found himself in a terrible car crash which results in him having his leg amputated...

Lil Skies also won the 10th Spot but refused to show up to the shoot, after originally accepting the offer. I swear it's the same story time and time again. Every year, XXL put together a group of young artists, who they consider to be the hottest newcomers in the rap game. And every year, there's a handful of surprises and some pretty glaring omissions. Huge omissions from the past include Drake, Nicki Minaj, Childish Gambino, and the Migos. Now, for sure a number of this year's rappers deserved to make the coveted cover, but as always, there has been a backlash from fans, as a number of great young rappers have been snubbed. And that's to be expected because really, XXL is trying to do something that's impossible - predict the future.
