Growing up young Lamar was a painfully shy kid and would split his time between living with his mother, father and grandmother all over Atlanta Georgia. Growing up the kid loved to read and he still does today. He had his mind set on a career as a professional baseball player and was moving in that direction until his passion for making music took over. A career that almost never happened when he was sent to prison for 15 months on burglary charges.

They worked odd end jobs with Jimmy working as a Mattress factory, Swae Lee at McDonald’s and both of them working at The Olive Garden. They put all their money into their recordings and were even living in abandoned houses in which they worked out a deal for free electricity which would light up the house parties they would throw at night.

Felix Kjellberg initially went on to pursue a degree in Industrial Economics and Technology Management but dropped out of university in opting to focus on his YouTube career. When he first started out he was selling hot dogs to pay his bills.
