42 Dugg wants to be the person who bridges the gap between the Detroit rap scene and national audiences and if street cred means anything this kid has got a whole bunch of it. At only 25 years old 42 Dugg has already served 6 years in prison. That's where he first learned to rap but at the time he was trying to keep his talent's to himself, he told Billboard: “I would just keep that s--t to myself and keep my raps to myself. I was in jail for six years, and mother----kers ain't never heard me rap, except for a few people. They were surprised that I was rapping.”

He had been christened “Brooklyn Raps Homecoming King” by The New York Times but the passing of Pop Smoke was a monumental loss to the world of music and hip hop in particular. Loss of life has become all too frequent an occurrence and with many young established names leaving us far, far too early it's a hard pill to swallow when an up and comer showcasing tons of talent doesn't even get to reach the full height of his potential before his life is taken. His passing occurred in the Hollywood Hills during the early house of February 19th of this year. Just recently, 4 months after authorities have been able to apprehend the 4 suspects responsible ages 19, 18, 17, and 15, and the motive of a robbery.

Before Naya Rivera would star as breakout character Santana Lopez in nearly every episode of the hit television show “Glee”. Before Naya Rivera would win several ALMA awards, a People’s Choice Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Before Naya Rivera would disappear while out boating with her son, only to have her body discovered days later. At this point, we’re all widely aware of just how much of a bummer this year has been, and guys... it’s really not getting any better. It’s been a minute since I last had to make a commemorative video for a recent passing, but honestly, I could have gone the entire rest of the year without one of these and been all the happier for it. Unfortunately, that wasn’t to be the case and this past week, American actress, singer, and model, Naya Rivera passed away during what appears to have been a boating accident. The talented actress was visiting Lake Piru with her 4-year-old son when she disappeared. Her son, Josey Dorsey, was found asleep on the boat, safe but alone. From what he was able to tell authorities, it sounds like his mother saved his life from drowning by pushing him onto the deck of the ship, but she was unable to save herself as well. It’s a tragic end to the life of a young woman who had so much more to give the world. In this video, we are paying a tribute to Naya Rivera.
