Before They Were Famous

Coming straight outta Detroit Kash Doll believes it takes a certain type of person to crawl their way out of a town that offers little opportunity. Seriously though, she made over $26K one night in singles, actually more. We found some old footage of Kash Doll in the club but we also found out a whole lot more about her childhood, including her various which including a stint at Little Caesars, Best Buy, and more. What's going on guys? It's your boy Michael McCrudden back at it again with another Before They Were Famous – this time on the one, the only Kash Doll. 2019 was an exceptionally tragic year for the world of music with the sudden passing of Nipsey Hussle followed by Juice Wrld just before the end of the year. These were some of the most impactful departures for us here on this channel and there were more from the world of television including Luke Perry, John Witherspoon, Beth Chapman, and Cameron Boyce. Lots of these were highly publicized by the media but there were a ton of others who you may be surprised to find out that they have passed on, for example, Peter Mayhew of Star Wars fame. He played Chewbacca. YouTube also faced its first catastrophic loss with a charismatic creator taking his own life, Desmond Amofah. For over five years now I have been documenting the lives of those who have left us in various variations of our Gone videos. The purpose of these is to reflect on these amazing and talented celebrities. We hope to pay tribute to how each of them changed the world in some way, shape, or form. Please keep it classy in the comments down below and feel free to leave your condolences for the departed – My name is Michael McCrudden and let's jump into In Memoriam for 2019.

Jeff Bezos became one of the richest and most influential men alive by changing the way we shop via Amazon.com. His story is quite the remarkable one, the son of a high school student who soon after divorced his biological father to marry a Cuban Immigrant who came to America with little more than the clothes on his back. Despite these humble upbringings, young Jeff Bezos was a child genius and also a die-hard Star Trek fan. Combining his intellect and his passion the man risked it all on an internet start-up that even he knew could come crashing down at any point. Over the past couple of decades, he was able to play his cards right and is well on his way to becoming the real-world version of Jean Luc Piccard but we will get into this in just a minute. What's going, guys? It’s your boy Michael McCrudden documenting the life and career of Jeff Bezos before fame, here for you, as always, on Before They Were Famous. We recently dropped The Rich Life video on Jeff Bezos and you guys requested a full biography so here you go.

From the year 2010 to 2019 a lot has happened and the biggest names and show businesses have had to change with the times. Rollback the clock to 2010, the hottest show on TV was Lost and it was coming to an end while Jersey Shore was just taking off. Instagram was only first introduced at the turn of the century and would go onto become the behemoth it is today. At the same time, we've seen the Vine collapse. Facebook became a movie and YouTube is continuing on its march for global domination! The Frozen film had every kid singing Let It Go. We got Game of Thrones. The Avengers from start to finish and Fortnite. The world also got its memes and challenges like the Ice Bucket and we got Donald Trump as President and we got Donald Trump doing the Hotline Bling. We got the Me Too movement... the advent and introduction of vaping. The rise of Cardi B, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X & more...
So a lot has happened – BUT who has been the artist of the decade?
Lady Gaga? Adele? Eminem? Rihanna? Bruno Mars? One Direction? Drake? Taylor Swift? Justin Bieber? Post Malone?

After the Santa Clause would pull in 189 million dollars WORLDWIDE way back in 1994 on a 22 million dollar budget. After the start of the film, Tim Allen, would experience both the Santa Clause becoming number 1 at the box office and his show Home Improvements being rated the number 1 TV series in America in the same WEEK. After the success of the first Santa Clause installation would inspire a Santa Clause 2 AND 3 to complete the series. After The Santa Clause would be dubbed a Christmas classic and shown on TV channels during the holidays, such as AMC, with record ratings. Since Disney’s The Santa Clause hit theatres in November of 1994 and became a certified box office hit, Tim Allen – who plays “the Santa clause” himself has kept up with his acting career – even including more great holiday flicks. But what happened to the rest of the cast? I’m sure you all remember little Charlie, who played The Santa Clause or Scott Calvin’s son. Well, these days he’s pretty much retired from the Hollywood actor life and doing his own thing…I mean, after the other Santa Clause movies that are. How about Scott’s skeptical ex-wife, Laura? She’s actually done pretty well for herself as a Canadian actress and still lives in her hometown of Toronto. Sadly one of the Santa Clause cast members passed away, but he still put in plenty of acting work after his role in the movie. What have they all been up to since? Well, we got the full scoop in this video. Another star from this movie, well he even got arrested in 2016! Actually, a couple of the main characters had run-ins with the law.

Billy Bob Thornton who played the Bad Santa himself experienced his biggest films prior to Bad Santa but prefers to keep his life more on the down-low these days and is of social media. Lauren Graham, who played his chick Sue has probably been the busiest of them all, and clearly too busy to come back for the Bad Santa sequel in 2016. She continued as the main character on the hit show Gilmore Girls & the reboot, as well as two other long-running Hollywood TV roles. But what happened to the rest of the cast? Unfortunately, John Ritter wasn’t the only star to pass away including Bernie Mac. Bad Santa was released on November 26th, 2003 later in the same month that the movie Elf came out – which we also did a video on. It was directed by Terry Zwigoff and is considered a “dark comedy” film – which isn’t usually the genre that Christmas movies aim for.
For those of you who haven’t seen the movie, Bad Santa focuses on Willie T Stokes played by Billie Bob Thornton who’s basically a crazy, depressed alcoholic. Every year at Christmas, Willie and his sidekick Marcus, played by Tony Cox get together to pull off a Holiday Con.
They pose as Santa and his elf and work at shopping malls, only to scam them on Christmas Eve. In the movie, Willie ends up meeting a boy who tests his “nice” side – or whatever’s left of it.
