  • Stop Fighting Spiritual Battles with Physical Solutions

    Hello my beautiful people 🤍

Last time, we talked about our choices and how they can affect the people around us. This week, we're going deeper. We're talking about spiritual vs. physical warfare and why we can't keep trying to fight spiritual battles with physical solutions.

Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that we're not wrestling against flesh and blood. So if the battle is spiritual, how are we preparing ourselves spiritually?

In this episode, we get into:

    • What we can and can't control — We can't control when the enemy attacks or how big the battle feels, but we CAN control how prepared we are when it comes.

    • You can't pray away what you keep practicing 👀 — We can pray for freedom from a habit while still feeding it through what we watch, listen to, and entertain. At some point, we have to examine our choices and make changes.

    • Godliness over physical training — 1 Timothy 4:8 reminds us that godliness has value for all things. Our physical and spiritual disciplines go hand in hand, but we can't neglect our spirit while constantly feeding our flesh.

    • Your habits are preparing you for something — What are you allowing into your mind? What are you entertaining? What are you practicing when nobody's watching? Sometimes the things we call "harmless" are the very things keeping us unprepared.

    • From powerless to intentional — Instead of staying stuck in "I'm so weak, I keep going back," let's look at what led us there. What can we learn? What needs to change? How do we depend on God's strength while taking responsibility for our choices?

Because we can't expect spiritual breakthroughs while refusing to change the habits that keep pulling us backward. Prayer matters. God's Word matters. Worship matters. Fasting matters. And so does what we choose to practice daily.

    A QUESTION TO SIT WITH:

Are you asking God to help you overcome something while continuing to feed the very thing you're praying to overcome?

Let's be honest about it. Let's prepare our spirit, renew our minds, and learn to walk this thing out.

    Pause. Prepare. Purpose.

  • Don’t Drag Your Brother (The Choice)

    Hello my beautiful people 🤍

Last week we talked about recognizing fruit. This week I'm flipping the mirror. Sometimes we try to correct our brother or sister while we're still hiding the same thing. And that's not accountability, that's dragging.

Galatians 6:1 says if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.

    This episode we get into:

    • Why you can't lead someone out of something you're still lying about

    • What it means to have wisdom and STILL have a choice - Christ gave us free will. If we don't always choose correctly, how can we expect the next person to? That's when we become hypocrites

    • The holier-than-thou check: Isaiah 65:5, Luke 18:9-14, Matthew 7:3-5 (plank vs speck)

    • The "better than that" verses: 1 Corinthians 8:9 - don't let your freedom become a stumbling block, Romans 14:21 - it's better not to do anything that causes your brother to fall, and Matthew 18:6 🌚

    • The Woman at the Well (John 4) as our anchor - Jesus met her WHERE SHE WAS not where she should be, He acknowledged her truth without shaming her, and He gave her living water not just a lecture

It's not "I'm going to accept your sin so you feel comfortable" and it's not "I'm going to fix you so I feel holy." It's James 5:16 - transparency invites transparency.

My line for the week: I can't say "sister you need to leave that man" if I'm still entertaining my own soul tie and haven't repented. I need to say "girl I've been there, this is what God showed ME, let's go to the well together."

Freedom: When you acknowledge your sin it frees YOU (1 John 1:9) and it frees your brother/sister because they're being led by someone who knows the way to the well, not someone pretending to be perfect.

    SCRIPTURES MENTIONED:

  • By Their Fruit

    Hello my beautiful people 🤍

We talked about falling last week, this week we're talking about how we look at OTHER people when they fall.

are we checking fruit or are we checking outfits? tattoos? if their Instagram looks "holy" enough?

Jesus said in Matthew 7:16 + 7:20 we WOULD be confused by wolves in sheep's clothing - that's WHY He gave us the fruit test. not to perform Christianity, but to LIVE it.

    in this ep:

    •   what we THINK fruit is (the world's dress code) vs what Jesus SAID fruit is (Galatians 5:22-23)
    •   why a tree can have beautiful leaves and still have no fruit
    •   the real tension of judging + being judged
    •   how this frees us from idolizing people who sound good but don't live it

challenge: check your OWN fruit before you check someone else's. Matthew 7:5 vibes - what's your fruit looking like this week?

    scriptures: Matthew 7:16, 7:20, Matthew 6:22-23, Romans 10:17, Proverbs 4:23, Galatians 5:22-23, Matthew 7:5

we're all still learning what this walk actually looks like outside of religion 🤍

Hello my beautiful people! This is part 2 coming from Episode 1 to help break down the stumble, trip, and fall.

I had to come back because I didn't want to leave y'all in the stumble. Today we're getting honest about why we sin even when we love God, how the enemy gets in through our thought life, and how God still restores us when we fall. If you've been feeling stuck in a cycle, this one is for you.

    Let's talk about it!
