John: Ist der Schaden wirklich so hoch?

Michaela: Nein. Der Teppich war schon alt…

John: Und die Möbel?

Michaela: Der Hund meiner Freundin war hier vor ein paar Wochen und er fand die Möbel lecker…

John: Ah, so ist das! Und was passiert jetzt mit dem Hund des Nachbarn?

Michaela: Vielleicht will eine Freundin ihn… Hauptsache er kommt in gute Hände. Ich traue dem Nachbarn nicht.

----Informal English----

John: Is the damage really that high?

Michaela: No. The rug was already old…

John: And the furniture?

Michaela: My friend’s dog was here a couple weeks ago and he found the furniture yummy…

John (amused): Ah, that’s how it is! And what happens now with the neighbour’s dog?

Michaela: Maybe a friend wants him… Most important thing is that he will be in good hands. I don’t trust the neighbour.
