"Beginning with that: how often we've internalized perfection, how this culture has lifted up and constructed some aspect of ourselves and the need to be perfect. And how when we don't reach those goals — whether it's in our practice, or whether it's in relationship to our mind, or in our relationships, or in our work, or really in anything — we find ourselves failing. How often that experience of failure — or sometimes even failure and shame and inner self-judgment or blame — can stop us from beginning again"
