Motherhood began her path to responsibility, therefore, success. She graduated from The New York Nautical Cadets, served in the Army, and later enrolled in college towards a degree in pharmacology. The need to provide drew her into the NYPD where she ascended to Detective in charge of 26 officers. Her role was community affairs for the entire borough of the Bronx. She provided outreach for the immigrant community and offered a lot of community support as a way to bring the community together. She retired in her 40’s. Rosie was in full retirement for one year and came out to support the Wallkill Police Department as their Youth Coordinator. In less than 9 years she has brought a youth group of 14 to over 520 youth. She offers leadership training, mentorship program, peer-to-peer responsibility, anti-bullying, cyberbullying, bias and suicide prevention and much more. Her outstanding work with the youth in the entire Orange County NY has earned her has earned her several awards such as the Doña Felisa Rincón de Gautier award, Certificates of appreciation.
