For the first behaviouRVN episode, I speak to Caroline Clark RVN. We talk about Caroline's successes in her professional life, going from being the Saturday girl at her local veterinary practice, to a renowned author, course writer and TV superstar, as well as BVNA's Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month.
Caroline Clark is a RVN with over 40 years of experience in the profession. She’s also an ABTC registered clinical animal behaviour (CAB) counsellor and full member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC). After some years lecturing and a spell working for the RCVS on the nursing programme she went on to gain a post graduate diploma in companion animal behaviour counselling at Southampton University, studying under some of the world’s leading behaviourists.
Since 2006 Caroline has been seeing behaviour cases on veterinary referral from her base in Yorkshire, where she helps dogs, cats, parrots and other companion animals. Caroline is also founder of Pet Education and Training Courses (PET Courses) and runs regular mentorship programmes for budding behaviourists and online CPD courses suitable for veterinary professionals. Her first book: Fear and Anxiety in Dogs was published last year and she is currently writing her second book: Demystifying Feline Behaviour, for the Taylor Francis Group, due out in late 2023.
