Since Sept. 9, incarcerated workers from around the country have been on a nationwide work strike in protest against unfair prison conditions. However, the ongoing strike has not received much coverage in mainstream media.
On Sunday, we discussed the strike, the reasons why inmates are protesting, and the concept of “legal slavery" with special guests Azzurra Crispino, the Media Co-Chair of the Incarcerated Workers Organizing Committee, and “D,” an incarcerated worker housed inside a South Carolina prison.
