Love part three! This time we travelled all the way to Europe, to France (Amandine) and Slovenia (Blažka). We came to the main topic that was on our minds for ages and that is Backpacking and love with an expiration date. We dig into dating, falling in love, relationships, living apart ... And at the end we shared our experiences and love stories.
In #love ∣ part two ∣ we continue talking about love, dating and cultural differences. Co-talker this time is my VIP - a very important person, Kun Ying. He is the reason for the unique intro song on the podcast, he change my way of seeing things, he introduced me to Chinese food and he openly talked about his gay life. We also sang, laugh and have a few Holy Guacamole moments!
"Hey, How is backpacking? Did you meet someone? Did you fall in love?" ... Most common questions that people ask and also the most unanswered ones too. But not this time! I decided to finally dig into love and search for some different opinions about this topic. In ∣part one∣, I invited Anamarija and Inka to join me and discuss love in general (what it means for each of us, how travelling and growing up widen the horizon...). And we also didn't forget about Holy Guacamole stories!
Malo e lelei! Do you know how many islands the Kingdom of Tonga has? Did you hear about the Disappearing island? Well, neither did I, but Tevita showed me around through his story ...
Who is born and raised Kiwi who actually knows where Slovenia is and how to find the best craft beer there? That's Russell Vessey, a person with a big heart and the best Man cave in Nelson (probably on South Island too). We talked about how Slovenians and other backpackers ended up at his place, how he loves travelling, about some Holy Guacamole moments and ...
Holy Guacamole! You know what, sometimes is not everything that "rainbowish" that looks on social media. In this episode, Iˇm thinking out loud about travelling and its meaning, about Ups and Downs, about self-growing and about digging a car out of snow in the middle of nowhere.
It's time for some "off-grid" stories about how I ended up on the Great Barrier Island, how I met my friends, Tony and Tom, how I was having a concert while walking Haratonga track and scary rainy run in Whangaparapara ...
When a lovely evening full of laughing turns out to be an emotional roller coaster. One evening after work I invited Birdy Coco to try out my new recording equipment. We opened a bottle of wine, cooked French cuisine, started talking in a big noisy room and after an hour, we were still talking and crying and... If I thought I had bad relationships, well I was wrong...
