Welcome back to another special interview. Happy to be sitting down (virtually) with an old teammate and absolute stud in the college ranks -- Brett Makar of the University of Maryland. Brett talks about what this past season was like, as the Terps executed a perfect 18-0 season, complete with a National title -- establishing themselves as one of the best teams of all time.
He also talks about the celebration afterward, Team USA tryouts, his own personal achievements this past season and his mindset that helped toward that success, the use of analytics, the toughest opponent he's had to guard, playing with the last two Tewaaraton winners (how they're different and the same.) and some other fun questions as he reflects on what's been a "hectic" last few weeks for the First Team All-American.
I hope you enjoy!
In this brief interview, John Ranagan joins Ryan Hulsebus (Top Shelf Lax on Twitter) and I for a discussion about life in the PLL Bubble, what they've learned from their group play games, and get some insight on the Chrome's newest roster additions from this off-season.
Hope you enjoy, and share if you do!
Today I was extremely fortunate to speak with #1 overall pick Grant Ament, and I made sure to say A-ment not Ah-ment. We talked about a bunch of things Lax related, but also got to know Grant a little more on the personal side.

- Vision for Penn State in the future (14:40 - 17:22)

- His Choice of Music and Workout Playlist (20:34 - 23:38)

- Who Grant would have liked to play with outside of PSU (29:35 - 31:37)

Hope you enjoyed this and please share if you did!

This Episode, Part II of the COVID vs Sports series dives into the impact that the pandemic has had on Collegiate Athletes and their programs, as well as looking at the lost seasons of some fantastic teams this year.
Hope you Enjoy!
Part III to come, with Pro Sports on deck...
In this Episode I talk about how COVID has impacted those athletes still in High School. This is the 1st episode of 4 that will explore this topic honoring and discussing the lost seasons of all athletes, Collegiate, Pro and so on. These are being created for a Portfolio for a final project in a College course of mine. For the time being, this will be where these episodes are posted. It'll be back to PLL and NCAA after!
Thanks,
Hope you enjoy.
Today we take a look at the recent events surrounding the abrupt end of NCAA athletics this Spring. It's tragic, for sure, but we decided to steer the conversation in a more positive direction as well... Hope you enjoy.
