MIHA MATEVZIC is a dancer, choreographer, educator & filmmaker. His dance background stems mainly from various Street Styles and Vernacular Jazz practices. For many years he has been able to capture other dance artists’ work and help them bring their visions to life on film. In the past he has worked with numerous different dance companies such as Decidedly Jazz Danceworks, Holla Jazz, Fujiwara Dance Inventions, and BoucharDanse to name a few. He has also directed a number of short dance films that were showcased at various film festivals across North America.
In his own work, he experiments with different camera movement and lighting techniques. He is also a certified Steadicam Operator, which enables him to continue his movement practices with a camera as the “dance partner”.
