Kelly Tuttle says her traumatic brain injury marked the beginning of a new life and a self-rediscovery journey. She joined the "head injury survivors club" in 2015, the night another car pulled in front of her. It wasn't until three months later that she realized something was seriously wrong. Kelly is a neurology nurse practitioner and the author of "After the Crash." Her book provides hope for TBI survivors while encouraging them that they can live a normal life again without the added stressors of emotional, physical, and cognitive challenges.

Kelly says she has a front-row seat to observing patients struggling with many of the same things she experienced in her recovery. She strives to share her coping strategies and tools and help them continue to work and study while they heal. Kelly also wants TBI patients to know there is hope. She got better, and they can get too.

Victoria Short is the author of Find Your Mini Pumpkin: Life Lessons to Live with Purpose. Her book gives you wisdom and wide-ranging advice she shared with her students over her long career as an educator. She says she taught thousands of students in her teaching career and mentored many young educators.
