This week Hollis and Gabe bring on Holden, a Canadian exchange student, on as a guest. They discuss the traditions of the rotary blazer and what pin designs they chose. Hollis gets accused of plagiarizing once more. Holden and Hollis talk about the struggles of saving their Rotary allowance. Then Holden talks about getting in trouble after one night of hanging out with exchange students and eating nachos. They also discuss the difficulties of getting along with host parents, classmates and finding ways to cope.

In this week's episode we have a previous guest, Ryan, join Gabe and Remi. They talk about how and why they decided to go on exchange.  They describe the changes they've noticed when coming back and how future exchange students should manage their expectations. Remi and Ryan discuss what it was like to be in a different country, meanwhile, Gabe gets jealous he wasn't able to stay the whole year. They also talk about their homesickness and how they dealt with it. They also give advice for future exchange students about homesickness.

Welcome back to another episode of Behind the Exchange Student! In this episode, Ryan, an exchange student to Taiwan, is brought on as a guest. Gabe and Remi tell their stories about losing their passports when coming back to the U.S. Remi and Ryan mention almost getting run over by motorcycles.  They discuss how they grew accustomed to their host families, maintaining those relationships, and their first times meeting their host families. All the hosts and the guest do whatever they can to avoid talking about culture shock, because, let's face it, they didn't pay attention to their culture shock.

Welcome to another episode of Behind the Exchange Student! This episode Gabe and Remi bring on their first-ever guest, Fiona. September is the month where most students have started their school year and so Fiona, Gabe, and Remi dive into what their first days in school abroad were like. They discuss the grading systems and the different expectations they had as Exchange students. Gabe briefly mentions the differences between being a POC in Spain and in the U.S. They discuss how they learn languages and the best ways to immerse yourself in a language.
