In 2000 (duh) WCW decided to take some stagnant midcarders (Hugh Morrus, Lash LeRoux, Van Hammer and Chavo Guerrero) change their names and make them a comedy stable. When it didn't catch on they added Booker T to the mix where he introduced his G.I. Bro persona! It's an amazing example of what happens when you take a stupid idea and then put zero effort into it. It's a stupid car wreck you just can't look away from.

Lex Luger had a very interesting run with the WWF in the early 90s. He went from commentator for the World Bodybuilding Federation, to narcissistic heel to finally getting a white hot babyface turn by bodyslamming the champion Yokozuna. But then Vince and the WWF made a decision during their match at Summerslam that has to be the stupidest idea of all time and it effectively killed Luger's race to the top.
