Marrying a man entering into one of the most publicized and stereotyped careers I was nervous, excited, and scared but mostly clueless. You'd think that since there are entire TV networks dedicated to my husband's employer that there would be a general understanding of the reality of his career but there isn't. And there's even less of an understanding of what I, a wife of a professional athlete's life is like or what I should expect or just a gentle heads up of how difficult it is to find my passion and purpose.
