We're back from Bali and straight back into the grind... turns out inner peace has a shelf life of about four days. This week we are breaking down our parenting styles... why one of us can't let the other parent without hovering, whether Mitre 10 counts as quality time, and the great "gentle parenting vs your kids need structure" comment section debate. We do some research into our actual parenting styles (reactive vs high intensity, apparently), argue about lunchbox surveillance, and somehow end up questioning whether "symbiotic" is a real word. But never fear, we finish off by putting on the gentle wash and saying the nice things out loud for once. Homework this week: give your partner 30 seconds before you jump in. We'll wait.

We made it to Bali, we're both red as lobsters, and somehow neither of us has been arrested for scaling a villa fence at 12:30am. This week it's an unfiltered download from the actual holiday... sunstroke, Bintangs, and a few trips to Bambu gym. We talk sciatica (allegedly), surf bullying (allegedly), and the Gojek driver who ended up being the actual highlight of the trip. Sunny days, zero lunchboxes, and somewhere in between all the chaos we do actually miss the kids… just not enough to cut the trip short. Cheers to that.
