Lebo Mathosa...simply GONE TOO SOON. She died at 29 years of age and yet in her short life she became one of the greatest stars South Africa has ever produced. A multitalented singer, dancer and actress, Lebo was born in Daveyton on the East rand of Johannesburg. Her family later moved to JHB where she attended St Mary's High School in Waverly. Like many great singers, her skills as a singer began while singing in her local church choir. Joburg's cosmopolitan influence also introduced Lebo to SA's bubblegum pop music and most notably Brenda Fassie.
