Behind The Roar

Join head coach Tim Sheens and host Chris Warren for episode two of the official Wests Tigers podcast, Behind The Roar.

Sheens chats about several key issues heading into the opening round of the 2023 NRL season.  Tim touches on several topics including the process behind the selection of this year’s team captain, how Api Koroisau can ‘unlock’ Luke Brooks, how Benji Marshall is adapting to his new coaching role, and the influence the late great Jack Gibson had on shaping Sheens as a coach.

Sheens also talks about some of his ‘bucket list’ items post retirement, a penchant for some the coldest places on earth, tactfully dodges a question or two about greatest players to have played the game.

All that and much more in Episode 2 of Behind The Roar.

The first episode features an in-depth interview with Assistant Coach and Wests Tigers Life Member, Robbie Farah.

Farah discusses a range of topics in the first episode including his new role under Tim Sheens, how he’s helping Api Koroisau, sinking beers on the Leichhardt scoreboard, his many business interests, his love of Liverpool FC…and a whole lot more.

His story is also a beacon of hope for young players with lofty ambitions.  Unable to make several junior rep sides, and told he ‘was never good enough’, Farah talks about his burning desire to prove the doubters wrong.
