GET READY TO ROCK A YEAR OF CRAFT MARKETS
In this episode I am joined by my girl-wonder business partner from Makers North, Tracy Baker. Tracy and I met back in 2015 and formed Makers North as a way to bring makers and artists together with our awesome community here in Northern Ontario. Since that first year we have hosted 10 handmade markets that celebrate the amazing talent that is right here in our backyards (or lake shores, city, etc. you get what I mean). After our most recent market (holiday 2019) we got together to chat all things craft markets; from how to get it accepted into a show to how it feels when you sell nothing (it happens to us all, really). It’s half about the insider peek into planning a craft show and half about what we’ve learned as makers applying and taking part in shows. It’s good. I promise.
