In this episode of Behind the Scenes Oklahoma, Ana Berry sits down with director Reagan Elkins to talk about his brand-new documentary, FRAGILÉ, now available to rent and stream this week.

Filmed entirely in Chickasha, Oklahoma, FRAGILÉ tells the true and wildly unexpected story of one man’s dream to save his struggling hometown… with a 50-foot leg lamp inspired by A Christmas Story. What starts as a quirky tourism idea quickly turns into something much bigger, sparking debates, viral attention, and even a cease-and-desist from Warner Bros.

Reagan opens up about the creative process, the community response, and how this project became a heartfelt exploration of what happens when creativity meets resistance in small-town America.

It’s funny. It’s emotional. It’s deeply Oklahoma. And it’s available to rent and watch this week.

In our 14th episode of Behind the Scenes, Oklahoma, we sit down with LA based writer-director Tyler Marie Evans to unpack her fearless debut feature, Pretty Babies—filmed right here in Oklahoma. Moving “beyond the gaze,” Tyler digs into why this story had to be her first: a frank, unflinching look at how we portray women, sex, power, and ambition and how the machinery of Hollywood shapes (and distorts) those narratives. We talk craft, casting, and agency, with on-set insights about working with Ashley Benson, Emily Alyn Lind, Madelaine Petsch, Sadie Stanley, and breakout Elias Kacavas. We also get real about complicity vs. critique, the difference between depiction and endorsement, and what it means to let women tell their own stories, on their own terms. If you care about independent film, representation, or simply love seeing Oklahoma on screen, this conversation is for you.

In this episode of Behind the Scenes Oklahoma, we talk with Mike Zara, a Hollywood writer and filmmaker who dared to dream big — and made it happen right here in the Oklahoma. After 12 years of determination, Mike brought his debut horror feature Horrified to life in Broken Arrow and Tulsa, proving that you don’t need to be a seasoned director to make a major impact AND you can make blockbuster movies from the Heartland.

With a star studded cast that includes Ron Perlman and Busy Philipps, and a crew filled with Oklahoma talent both in front of and behind the camera, Mike’s journey is a powerful reminder of what happens when passion meets opportunity — and when Hollywood gives the spotlight to somewhere unexpected.

This is more than a debut. It’s a defining moment for Mike, and a proud chapter for Oklahoma’s growing film scene.
