I talk a lot about the journalism side of being a ‘student-journalist’, but how often do I actually delve into the student side of things? Join me in today’s episode for a conversation with fellow politics student, Humaira, on what it’s really like to study politics as a degree. We delve into the behind-the-scenes, expectations vs reality, and where we see our degree taking us… or where we see ourselves taking it. It’s a fun, light-hearted episode that also gives you an insight on whether studying politics would be the right thing for you, while also getting some advice of uni-life along the way.
Hello beautiful people - in today’s episode you join me for a solo chat, as we transport ourselves into a hypothetical scenario (although it is one that could be very real). I am extremely passionate about mental health, self care, and prioritising our well-beings, and I care deeply about making sure my loved ones are in as best of a place as can be. So, through lessons I have learnt, both from others and myself, I thought I would share some of my best mental health tips/advice to you today; in the hopes that at least one of these will be of help or comfort to you.
This is a safe space, and one I want you to feel heard, respected and supported in. So, grab a warm drink and/or snack, or if you’re keeping busy then enjoy this as some background noise, and let’s imagine I’m your best friend giving you some gentle advice. Sending love ❤️
Today’s episode is one I am extremely passionate about and excited to share. Join me in welcome Sara Vatore, daughter of renowned sport’s psychologist and specialist Dr Alan Goldberg, in delving into the reality of athlete’s mental health. We talk about the impacts of language, perspective, and coaching on an athlete’s, but also overall human being’s, wellbeing. We look at cortisol levels, stress management, and what true self-care looks like… and the biggest message today? RESTING IS DOING! I loved this episode so much, so if you enjoyed please do let me know and I will get Sara back on to ask even more questions! Sending love.
In today’s episode, I am featuring a very special guest: Robin Collins! Robin is an incredible student radio presenter, 2024 ISBC’s content creator of the year, and an all around lovely person. Join us in this episode as we delve into the behind-the-scenes of student journalism, the highs and lows, plus a little trip down memory lane. If you are looking to get into some form of student journalism, or just want to hear a fun chat between two friends, then this is the episode for you… enjoy!
P.S: make sure to find Robin on his Instagram @robinpresents, and check out his last project on Spotify: the Botanical Garden (everything he does is amazing so for sure worth the listen)
Trigger warning: while there is no mention of numbers or intentionally harmful content in this episode, we do discuss Eaton disorders and eating disorder recovery. The aim of the episode is to provide insight, support and raise awareness, but if this is a difficult topic for you to listen to, then this may not be the episode for you.
In today’s episode I was lucky enough to interview renowned eating disorder recovery coach, and author of the book ‘Rehabilitate, Rewire, Recover!’, to discuss her approach to recovery (having helped so many people already). We delve into Tabitha’s story, her best pieces of advice, and why recovery is both possible and worth it. I hope you enjoy.
Happy 2025! I wanted to kick off the new year with a slightly new direction for my podcast: giving you all the behind-the-scenes. Whether it’s in different careers or life stages, as teens/20-something year olds, especially in the age of social media, having a life direction can be so confusing! So I want to bring you episodes that give you insights into different life paths/places, to maybe help you, the listener, get a better idea of whether you would like to try something or not. I’ll be featuring guests, getting their expert advice, while still doing my own sit-down experience/advice episodes myself. Basically bringing in a new variant of my episodes!
With that being said, today I talk about the behind-the-scenes of being a full-time athlete… the highs, the lows, and some insider scoop you may have not before known. Be prepared to hear about my… interesting anecdotes from travelling on the road, and find out whether this would be a lifestyle for you (or your kid!).
Let me know what your thoughts are after tuning in - would you want to be a full-time athlete? Send me a message on my Instagram @healingbeautypodcast , and let’s keep the conversation going.
Enjoy! ♥️

Morning everyone! As we near the end of the year, and the idea of new year resolutions are upon us, allow me to relieve you of the pressures to be more than you are… let me deinfluence you. On today’s episode, I delve into how what you are already, who you are, is already enough, while also welcoming my first ever guest to the podcast: Tilly! As this will likely be my final episode of the year, I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, for those who celebrate, and a wonderful new year. Just remember, if you are content in yourself, don’t let these ‘trends’ or the routine of the new years resolutions make you feel you need to make any change. Sending all my love ♥️

This is a question I ask myself a lot, and it’s a really interesting question… but I think, even more interestingly, is wondering why others go to uni? What is the difference in reasoning behind Laura who wants to be a vet, versus Samuel who wants to be in PR? Is there a right way to do university? Are we losing sight of its purpose or is the reason people go to uni simply evolving and shaping the ‘uni life’ into something different: a unique and personal experience for each student. In today’s episode, I delve into all of this and talk about my own reflections on what I have been, and am, getting out of uni so far.

Happy Sunday! I hope you have all enjoyed a very successful Boxing Day weekend, taking full advantage of the sales and saying ‘yes’ to many an attractive deal. Well, you’re in luck because today’s episode is all about saying ‘yes’ and why, in many situations, you should! But we also dive into the power of that three-lettered word, and how a lot of the time, it’s also important to know when not to say ‘yes’; when to say ‘no’.
Let me know what you thought of this one by either leaving a comment here on Spotify, starting in a conversation over on my YouTube, or sending me a DM via Instagram @healingbeautypodcast ! Sending love 🥰♥️
